The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and JFK Millennium Partners, Developer of John F. Kennedy Airport’s Terminal 6, Announce Collaboration with New York’s Premier Cultural Institutions at New $4.2 Billion Terminal

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Vantage Group’s JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) have announced a major collaboration with four leading NYC cultural institutions — the American Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and MoMA — to create a permanent arts district in the international arrivals corridor of the new $4.2 billion Terminal 6 at JFK Airport.
Highlights include:
- Lincoln Center: A 140-foot mural celebrating performing arts.
- MoMA: A new installation by Yoko Ono inspired by PEACE is POWER.
- American Museum of Natural History: A vibrant display of iconic exhibits and scientific collections.
- The Met: A visual journey through 5,000 years of global art.
This initiative is part of a broader art program designed to reflect New York City’s spirit and creativity, featuring 19 permanent installations curated by Public Art Fund, and a rotating collection of local artworks curated by Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning.
Terminal 6 is a key part of JFK’s $19 billion transformation into a world-class airport, with major upgrades including new terminals, expanded infrastructure, and improved transportation. The first phase of T6 opens in 2026.
