Hamilton International Unveils Passenger Jet Bridges and Enhanced International Arrivals Area

Feb 10, 2026

John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport has reached a major milestones with the launch of its first-ever passenger jet bridges and the completion of significant upgrades to its international arrivals experience.

The airport has introduced two passenger boarding bridges, now operational since December, offering travellers direct, weather-protected access between the terminal and aircraft. The addition marks a major step forward in passenger comfort and convenience and represents a long-anticipated enhancement for both guests and airline partners.

Hamilton International has also unveiled a modernized international arrivals area designed to support more efficient border processing. The refreshed space features Primary Inspection Kiosks, improved wayfinding, and a dedicated NEXUS lane — upgrades that will help reduce wait times and improve the overall arrival experience for international and transborder travellers.

These improvements reflect continued investment from Vantage Group and TradePort International Corporation, following the Airport’s multi‑million‑dollar terminal enhancement program completed in June 2025. Together, these coordinated upgrades strengthen operational efficiency, elevate the guest experience, and position Hamilton International for future airline service development and passenger growth.

Today, we are proud to celebrate the continued growth and evolution of Hamilton International, with passenger jet bridges now in service and a more modern, efficient international arrivals experience in place, we are continuing to deliver on our commitment to invest in infrastructure that supports our airline partners, improves the guest experience, and positions the airport for long‑term, sustainable growth.
