Stephen (Steve) Benjamin is Operating Partner for Local Communities at Investcorp Corsair Infrastructure Partners and Board Director of Vantage Group. Most recently, Steve served as Assistant and Senior Advisor to the President in the Biden Administration and Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. From 2010 through 2021, Steve was the Mayor of Columbia, South Carolina.

Additional leadership roles include President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, President of the African American Mayors Association, Vice Chairman of the Global Parliament of Mayors, Executive Chairman of Municipal Bonds for America, and Chairman of the FirstNet Authority, a Member of the Federal Communications Commission’s Intergovernmental Advisory Committee.
