Gameway Video Gaming Lounge Opens at Midway International Airport

Feb 19, 2026

Chicago Midway International Airport has introduced a dynamic new entertainment option for travelers with the opening of Gameway, the airport’s first-ever video gaming lounge. The lounge officially opened on February 19 2026, in partnership with the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) and Midway Partnership.

Located near Gate A5 and open daily, Gameway offers travelers a premium place to relax, recharge, and enjoy high-quality gaming experiences between flights. Each station features high-end gaming setups, comfortable seating, premium headphones, high-speed internet, and a curated selection of the latest console and PC video games. Guests can book 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or unlimited play time.

The new lounge aims to enhance the travel experience for passengers of all ages and interests. CDA Commissioner Michael McMurray welcomed the addition, noting that innovative amenities like Gameway help elevate the airport experience for both Chicago residents and global visitors.

Gameway’s founders, Jordan and Emma Walbridge, said the company is thrilled to bring its entertainment-focused concept to Midway, describing the airport’s energy as an ideal match for their mission: making airports more fun and engaging for travelers.

On behalf of Midway Partnership, I am delighted to welcome Gameway to the concession line-up at Chicago Midway International Airport. The fun atmosphere and immersive experience offered at Gameway is a fantastic addition to the diverse mix of shopping, dining, and amenities available at Chicago’s neighborhood airport. Our focus continues to be on delivering a convenient and enjoyable experience that offers something for every traveler. With today’s grand opening, Gameway joins more than 70 unique brands and experiences now available at Midway.
