Shawnta Young is Vantage Group’s General Manager of Midway Partnership, the team that is redeveloping and managing a new $75 million commercial program at Chicago’s Midway International Airport. Shawnta joined the team in 2019 as Commercial Operations Manager, quickly establishing her expertise in managing relationships with the program’s many stakeholders, including local government, regulatory agencies, airlines, vendors, concessionaires, consumer groups, and the airport business community.
Now responsible for the day-to-day management of the program, Shawnta supports its growth and development by driving revenue, enhancing the guest experience, and developing and maintaining KPIs for commercial operators. Shawnta has also lent support to other commercial programs in the Vantage network, including Kansas City International Airport.
Prior to joining Vantage, Shawnta honed her expertise with management roles at major national brands including Home Depot. She is a member of the Airport Minority Advisory Council.
