John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport has released its 2025 Year in Review, outlining a landmark year punctuated by major terminal enhancements, expanded air service, and continued investment in the passenger experience.

The report reflects a period of significant momentum for Hamilton International, beginning with the announcement of a multi‑million‑dollar terminal enhancement project and the launch of Porter Airlines service in early 2025. Throughout the year, the airport completed upgrades across the terminal, from curbside to boarding gates, designed to modernize facilities, improve efficiency, and support future growth.

In June, the refreshed terminal officially opened alongside the inaugration of Porter’s service to Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and Vancouver, strengthening connectivity for Southern Ontario travellers. Additional improvements continued through the fall, including enhancements to the international arrivals area and preparations for new border processing technologies. The year concluded with the introduction of the airport’s first-ever passenger jet bridges, further improving comfort and accessibility for guests.

This past year marked a major step forward for Hamilton International. From the early announcement of our terminal enhancement project to the successful launch of new air service and the completion of key upgrades, we’ve built strong momentum across every part of our operation. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished and remain focused on advancing this progress in the years ahead, as we continue to expand connectivity and elevate service for the region.
