Kamloops, B.C.; April 10, 2025: The Kamloops Airport Authority Society, Kamloops Airport Ltd.(KAL), and Vantage Group today announced a change in leadership at Kamloops Airport (YKA).
Ed Ratuski, Kamloops Airport’s Managing Director, has accepted another leadership role within the Vantage network, joining John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport as Executive Managing Director. Ed has been a key member of Vantage Group for 17 years, holding operational leadership roles across its global network, including at its locations in Cyprus, New York’s LaGuardia Terminal B and JFK Terminal 7, and most recently as Managing Director at YKA.
Jim Moroz has been named the new Managing Director of YKA. Born and raised in Kamloops, Jim first joined the airport team in 2013. In his most recent role as Manager, Airport Facilities and Safety, Jim’s responsibilities have included developing and delivering the airport’s capital program, and management and leadership of the airport’s Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting program and personnel.
“We sincerely thank Ed for his many years of service to Kamloops Airport and the community. Ed has been a key driver in actioning development initiatives on airport lands and working to enhance new air services while ensuring exceptional experiences for all passengers travelling through the airport. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” said Kamloops Airport Authority Society President and City Councillor Bill Sarai. “We congratulate Jim on his new role as Managing Director,” continued Sarai. “We look forward to continuing to work together for the continued success and growth of Kamloops Airport.”
“I extend my thanks to the team here at Kamloops Airport, the Society, and the Kamloops community for making my time here as Managing Director so rewarding. I look forward to this new opportunity in Hamilton and wish Jim the very best in his new role,” said Ed Ratuski, outgoing Managing Director, Kamloops Airport.
“I am delighted to step into this leadership role at Kamloops Airport,” said Jim Moroz, Managing Director, YKA. “I look forward to continuing to deliver a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all passengers, and serving our community as a regional connector and jobs creator.”
This change in leadership follows the November 2024 signing of an extended lease between KAL and Vantage, which positions Kamloops Airport for continued development and growth, including new air services, land development initiatives, community engagement, and an exceptional experience for all passengers traveling through the airport. Under Jim’s leadership and with the support of the Kamloops Airport Authority Society, YKA will continue to be an important travel hub for leisure and business and an economic engine for the city of Kamloops and the Thompson-Nicola region.
I am delighted to step into this leadership role at Kamloops Airport. I look forward to continuing to deliver a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all passengers, and serving our community as a regional connector and jobs creator.
