William H. Gray III 30th Street Station
As part of Plenary Infrastructure Partners, Vantage is creating and delivering a new concession program at Philadelphia’s historic Gray 30th Street Station, Amtrak’s third busiest rail station in the United States.
The 100-year old station is undergoing a comprehensive revitalization to restore and maintain this important rail hub. This program marks Vantage’s first foray into concession operations at a rail station.
Something for Every Traveler
Vantage’s expanded and modernized concession program will include high quality retail and food & beverage offerings for travelers, employees, and local Philadelphians who work and live in the area.
When complete, Gray 30th Street Station will feature more than 45,000 square feet of commercial space with 20-plus new food, beverage, and retail amenities – from grab & go options to sit-down dining.
A Hub for Commuters and the Community
As the station’s retail manager, Vantage is part of an experienced team that is revitalizing the Gray 30th Street Station, including Plenary Americas, Gilbane Building Company, and Johnson Controls Inc. The expected year of completion is 2027 for station revitalization.

Our goal is to create a modernized guest experience that offers high-quality retail and food & beverage options for passengers, employees, and all Philadelphians alike. The station’s new commercial program will have something for everyone, from quick service and sit-down dining to grab & go, travel & convenience, and specialty retail.
Experts in the Passenger Journey – By Air and Rail
Tapping into Vantage’s decades of experience customizing concession programs to meet the specific needs and preferences of diverse travelers, we are curating a program that will offer something for every visitor to Gray 30th Street Station.
Coffee options, casual favorites, local brands, and a new sit-down restaurant are in the works, with partner selection and procurement underway now.
A Path to Success
As with all Vantage programs, Gray 30th Street Station’s concession offering will provide opportunities for local business partners to get involved and benefit from the revitalization.
Vantage will welcome local, small, and diverse businesses interested in operating concepts in a high-traffic transportation environment, offering designated spaces for lease with low cost of entry, and mentorship to guide partners to commercial success.
